About this plant
A high-utility fruit plant for home gardens — fresh lemons within reach of the kitchen. Best planted in the official February and September windows.
گھر کے باغ کے لیے کارآمد پھل دار پودا، پوری دھوپ چاہیے۔
What you receive
A grafted plant in a nursery bag, roughly 60–120 cm tall depending on stock. Photos show mature fruiting trees; you receive a young nursery plant that needs seasons to establish before fruiting well.
Suitability for the Faisalabad region
Citrus is a mainstay of central Punjab and lemon grows well around Faisalabad in full sun. Punjab's Horticultural Research Institute lists February and September as the planting windows, avoiding both extreme heat and winter cold for establishment. Young plants appreciate some protection from the harshest June afternoons and from frost on the coldest nights.
Best planting window: February & September
Care
Water when the top 5 cm of soil is dry — deep, less frequent watering beats daily splashes, and standing water harms citrus roots. Feed two to three times a year with a balanced or citrus fertiliser, and watch for yellowing leaves that can signal nutrient issues in local soils. Prune lightly to remove dead wood and any shoots from below the graft. Fruiting takes time on a young plant; variety and rootstock affect results, so confirm details with us when ordering.
