Citrus is a mainstay of central Punjab and lemon grows well around Faisalabad in full sun. Punjab's Horticultural Research Institute lists February and September as the planting windows, avoiding both extreme heat and winter cold for establishment. Water when the top 5 cm of soil is dry — deep, less frequent watering beats daily splashes, and standing water harms citrus roots. Feed two to three times a year with a balanced or citrus fertiliser, and watch for yellowing leaves that can signal nutrient issues in local soils.
